Womens designer winter coats are an investment that will last you for years and years. You need
to make sure that you are picking something that's as fashion-forward as possible to ensure that
you are going to get as much use out of your winter coat. After all, if you're spending the money,
you want to make sure that you are staying ahead of the trend when you are buying it don't you?
So what trends are coming in for fall and winter 2009/2010? Let's take a look at two styles that
certainly fit into our fashion forwards focus. The cape and the tailored wool.
First off is the cape / cloak revival trend. I am personally a big fan of this movement. Look at
some of the runway shots and these look absolutely gorgeous. Think of yourself on a cold winter's
day wrapped up inside your warm cloak. Protected against the elements and looking fabulous. It
can't get much better than that!
The designs on these things are wide and varied in both cut, fit and patterns so there's bound
to be something for everyone. There's also a wide selection in how warm they are too. Starting at
the little capes that cover shoulders and upper body to the full length cloaks that can go right
down to ankle length.
Second up is the sharp tailored wool coats. Classic in its lines and cut you can go single or
double breasted to suit your body shape. More up top? Then go for the single breasted to minimize
upper body volume. Flatter chested girls should stick with the double breasted to create some
curves. Warm and stylish is the way to go this winter.
